About This Site

This site is being created by the Daly City Public Library for the pupose of preserving and making available to the community information and artifacts from Daly City's past.

The original Daly City Library was built in 1920. The John Daly Branch was located on this site until it moved to 134 Hillside Blvd in the new War Memorial Community Center in 2007. The historic original library is slated to become a museum for the History Guild of Daly City/Colma.
