President of the San Mateo County Historical Association

Affectionately known as "Mitch," the speaker will focus on various events surrounding the 150th anniversary of the founding of San Mateo County with emphasis on the restoration of the historic San Mateo County Courthouse in Redwood City, which houses the SMC history museum. He will also tell of events leading up to the decision to restore the building's orginal facade.
